Drake Posts Heartfelt Message Following The Death Of Canadian Rapper Smoke Dawg
Smoke Dawg toured with Drake on his Boy Meets World tour.
Canadian rapper Smoke Dawg was reportedly shot and killed in Toronto last night.
On Saturday, June 30th CP24 reported that three people were shot around Queen Street West and Peter Street around 8 PM EST. The incident occurred outside of Cube Nightclub. According to the report, two males in their 20s and one female in her 30s were injured at the scene.
Two victims were taken directly from the scene of the shooting to the hospital and the third victim was found a short distance away from the scene and was also taken to the hospital. One of the victims passed away at the hospital and is believed to be Smoke Dawg.

His friends have confirmed his death via social media. Mustafa The Poet and Puffy L'z have posted tributes on Twitter and Instagram following Smoke Dawg's death.
Smoke Dawg was a rising artist in the Canadian rap scene. He even opened for Drake during his 2017 Boy Meets World European tour.
Drake posted this heartfelt message on his Instagram story remembering his friend and the talented rapper.
The picture shows Drake and Smoke Dawg on stage during their Boy Meets World tour in Europe. Over the image, Drake shared a heartfelt message about the loss of his friend.
On the image, the caption reads "All these gifts and blessed souls and inner lights being extinguished lately is devastating. I wish peace would wash over our city."
He continued, "So much talent and so many stories we never get to see play out. Rest up Smoke."
We expect that Drake is also referring to the loss of XXXTentacion, a rapper that was shot and killed in Florida on June 18th, 2018.
This news comes after the very publicized death of SoundCloud rapper. The rap community is still reeling from the death of the 20-year-old rapper.
