On Wednesday, October 28, the provincial government released an Alberta COVID-19 update

The update informed the public that 410 new cases had been recorded in the past 24 hours. 

With that, Alberta went into the tenth record-breaking day in a row in terms of active cases in the province.

Of those cases, 125 people are in the hospital, 19 of whom are in intensive care. 

In terms of the cities, the Edmonton Zone is still leading the Calgary Zone with 2,245 and 1,788 cases respectively. 

Each of the zones has several outbreaks currently listed. 

As numbers continue to climb, gathering numbers have been slashed back down to 15 people in Calgary and Edmonton. 

Dr. Hinshaw will be addressing the public on Thursday afternoon with another update.
