Edmonton Is About To Get Pummelled By Another Nasty Winter Storm
Freezing rain, snow and powerful winds are sweeping across Alberta this Friday.
Time to start mentally prepping yourself for more snow, Alberta. According to the experts at Environment Canada, an intense snowstorm is in the forecast this Friday, November 8. While not every region will be hit by the approaching Alberta snowstorm, a large portion of the province will.

On Friday moring, 14 different winter storm-related weather warnings were issued for Alberta. These range from large amounts of snowfall, freezing rain, wind and general winter storm elements.

According to Environment Canada, Edmonton was issued a snowfall warning. The warning states that anywhere from 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected to hit on November 8.
The snow is anticipated to start early Friday evening and continue all the way through to Saturday.
Environment Canada has stated that total snowfall amounts of 20 cm are expected in western regions near Spruce Grove, Barrhead, and High Prairie. Around 10 cm is expected in the east, including Edmonton.
By Sunday morning, snow will be tapering off, but if history repeats itself, then it won't be gone for long.
Environment Canada has stated that rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult and visibility may become suddenly reduced.
Along with Edmonton, there are 13 other alerts. Five locations are calling for freezing rain, two for snowfall, four for winter storms, and two areas have wind warnings. Up to 40 cm of snow is expected in some regions.
Freezing rain warnings are in effect for the following locations, calling for slippery and icy highways.

Fort Saskatchewan - Vegreville - Redwater - Smoky Lake
Lloydminster - Wainwright - Vermilion - Provost
Westlock - Barrhead - Athabasca
Areas with wind warnings are being told to be aware of damaging winds that could destroy windows and roof shingles.
