On Wednesday, October 21, the government website was updated to reflect new COVID-19 cases in Alberta

On that same Wednesday, Alberta's premiere, Jason Kenney, went into isolation following potential exposure. 

From October 20 to 21, the province recorded 406 new cases, the highest single-day jump we've seen since the beginning of the pandemic.

Active cases in Alberta

Most of the province’s cases are coming from Edmonton where there are currently 1,649.

Calgary currently has 1,174.

As for the country, Canada currently has 204,094 active cases. 

From isolation, Jason Kenney told CBC News that he's feeling totally fine and showing no symptoms. 

He is apparently exercising caution because his Minister has tested positive.
