A Hospital In Edmonton Has Stopped Letting Patients In Because Of A COVID-19 Outbreak
It's one of the biggest hospitals in the city.
A COVID-19 outbreak at one of Edmonton's biggest hospitals. Misericordia Hospital in west Edmonton has stopped admitting patients as a result of the outbreak.
According to CTV News, new patients or patients being transferred are to be redirected to other Edmonton hospitals.

patients and 14 staff have contracted COVID-19.
Over the weekend between July 5 and July 6, seven patients and one staff member were confirmed to have the disease.
"We are taking significant measures to ensure the safety of patients, staff physicians and volunteers," said Dr. David Zygun, the Edmonton Health Zone's medical director.
Three hospital units have been assigned to people who have COVID-19, but altogether, eight hospital units have been set aside to manage the outbreak.
