An Edmonton Library Got An $84 Million Facelift & It's Unrecognizable
It's opening up after being closed for three years.

For the past three and a half years, Stanley A. Milner Library in Edmonton has been undergoing a major facelift that cost an estimated $84.5 million but now, it’s ready to open this week.
The Edmonton library looks completely unrecognizable and includes new and revitalized elements including a gamer space, reading room, laptop bar, outreach services, and a “makerspaces” for letting your creative juices flow.

Grand opening
There’s also a new installation unlike any in North America that includes a two-storey, 40-foot wide touch-interactive wall that takes you on a pre-historic learning experience full of digital dinosaurs.
All the cool new elements including high ceilings and bright art installations have been highlighted in an online video.
Due to COVID-19, anyone who wants to hit up the new and improved space will need to book a time slot to visit.
