On Monday, far-right political commentator and online personality Faith Goldy was officially banned from Facebook and Instagram in the company’s latest crackdown against "dangerous" alt-right online groups. Goldy's response to the ban was pretty much what you would expect. She suggested that the ban showed that her enemies were “weak and terrified” before stating that “most revolutions were waged before social media”. This is what Facebook had to say about their recent crackdown: "Individuals and organizations who spread hate, attack, or call for the exclusion of others on the basis of who they are have no place on Facebook. That's why we have a policy on dangerous individuals and organizations, which states that we do not allow those who are engaged in offline 'organized hate' to have a presence on Facebook," wrote Facebook in their official statement on the matter according to CBC. "The individuals and organizations we have banned today violate this policy, and they will no longer be allowed a presence on our services. Our work against organized hate is ongoing and we will continue to review individuals, pages, groups and content against our community standards,” the statement continued. Goldy's ban from Facebook is just one platform on an ever-growing list of sites that the far-right commentator has used as a way to rally her supporters. As of right now, she is still active on Twitter and is allowed to post her controversial videos on YouTube. By the looks of her latest YouTube videos, Goldy has been asking her supporters to send her money via e-transfer. Goldy's YouTube channel has nearly 97,000 subscribers.
