An Ontario spin studio recently became ground zero of a COVID-19 outbreak that led to nearly 70 infections. Hamilton's SPINCO said on Sunday that several staff members and patrons had tested positive. The studio had been operating normally for a full seven days since the initial positive case. SPINCO Hamilton "Like everyone we were hesitant [to reopen], but we took all the measures public health offered, even added a few, and still the pandemic struck us again," their Instagram statement reads. Hamilton Public Health reported 69 cases from the outbreak — 44 customers, two employees, and 23 through household spread, reports CBC. According to SPINCO Hamilton, "everyone who has tested positive, are well." They say anyone who may have been exposed has been notified. This could be one of the largest gym outbreaks Canada has seen yet, according to the Toronto Star. Despite this, SPINCO is optimistic about its future. "We are at a point, where either we let this Pandemic own us, or we take ownership back. We are determined to switch the script!"
