H&M Just Announced That It's Going To Start Closing Down Store Locations
Say it ain't so H&M!!!
If there is one place that you can count on to have cheap, trendy, and cute clothes it's H&M. And with their large selection of accessories, celeb collab collection, womens, mens, and even kids wear - it's easily a one stop shop.
So you can imagine my dismay when I learned that several shops will shutting down soon. The reason being, sales have been worse than anticipated in their physical stores this quarter while their online sales have continued to grow.
In order to adjust to customer demand and changes in consumer behavior, H&M CEO Karl-Johan Persson said in a statement that there will be "more store closures and fewer openings again ".
While we can all agree that shopping from the convenience of your home and avoiding lineups and crowds is amazing, but sometimes you just need to try something on IRL and see how it looks.
Buying online may be cool, but it also comes with as many disadvantages as benefits. Shipping costs, waiting times, not knowing your sizing, not being able to tell if it'll fit just right, etc.
Meaning that we NEED physical stores to still exist.
According to La Presse, H&M has not yet specified the amount of stores that will close or their locations.
