If your entire house is furnished with IKEA products or you love browsing the aisles, dreaming of kitchens you may one day have, this new loyalty program might be perfect for you. The IKEA Family membership has gotten a massive revamp and is now available across Canada. As a member, you get discounts, exclusive access to products and events, and free stuff.

IKEA announced that its revamped loyalty program is now available to all Canadians. Being part of the IKEA Family means free stuff, exclusives only members get, discounts in-store and online, access to a sustainable buyback program and so much.

Thanks to customer feedback and interaction with the loyalty program, the resigned IKEA Family membership is ready for you.

"We want the IKEA Family program to be the best way our customers experience IKEA," said Michael Kotsidis, customer engagement and loyalty manager at IKEA Canada, in a news release.

Everybody loves free stuff and being an IKEA Family member gets you a free hot drink at the IKEA Restaurant and free 14-day breakage protection. So don't stress if you're building a Billy bookcase and you break it.

Plus the membership itself is free.

Being part of the loyalty program also means getting exclusives like free workshops and events at IKEA stores that are not available to other shoppers. Plus you can get first access to shop collections like MARKERAD, created by fashion designer Virgil Abloh, before anyone else.

You also get member-only discounts which is a huge plus.

If you're part of the Family, you also have access to IKEA's sustainability Sell-Back program. Members can sell their used IKEA items back to the store and get an in-store credit in return.

The new IKEA loyalty program was piloted in Burlington in early 2019. Thanks to the customer feedback and inspiration drawn from the customers, the program is now available across Canada.

With the redesigned program, members can enter into a monthly $100 gift card contest and get access to community events like the IKEA PJ Party and House Party.

"By re-developing the program to understand our customers better, we ensure IKEA continues to be a great place to shop while meeting the growing need for personalization and relevance in an evolving retail landscape," said Kotsidis.

To eliminate plastic and help the environment, IKEA is doing its part by making this newly revamped loyalty program completely digital. Sign-up for the program is online, the loyalty card is a digital one, and members get offers that are unique to the online store.

The loyalty program is always evolving and IKEA said more benefits, rewards and opportunities will be added over time based on feedback from customers.
