With the federal election now just days away, Jagmeet Singh is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to finding celebrity endorsements. After getting followed by Drake on Instagram and even DM’ing with Rihanna, Singh is definitely making the most of his Canadian-celebrity connections. On Thursday night, Singh will visit one of the last stops of his election campaign, and will share the stage with Drake’s producer, a Toronto-based rapper and even a professional wrestler! On Thursday night in Brampton East, New Democratic Party leader, Jagmeet Singh, will find himself back in the riding where his political life first began. Now, as a popular candidate in the 2019 leadership race, Singh will be joined on stage by some of Canada’s most famous pop-culture icons, as his federal campaign starts drawing to a close. One of the biggest names expected to be supporting the NDP leader on Thursday evening is Noah “40” Shebib, a 36-year-old hip hop producer from Toronto. Most famously known for working with Canadian icon Drake, Shebib was involved in records such as “Take Care,” “Nice for What,” “Hold On We’re Going Home,” and “Started From The Bottom.” According to prepared remarks provided to the Toronto Star, Shebib is expected to say, “Jagmeet is an inspirational leader — straight up.” As well as, “He [Singh] lives by his values and that’s what you’ve seen this election, a commitment to people over money and prioritizing the health and well-being of our nation as we know it.” View this post on Instagram Tomorrow! 🗣🗣🗣 A post shared by Noah Shebib (@ovo40) on Oct 16, 2019 at 7:06pm PDT Shebib won’t be the only celebrity getting involved in Singh’s leadership campaign tonight. Professional WWE wrestler Jinder Mahal is also expected to join Singh on stage this evening, as well as actor Kiran Rai (“Kay Ray”) and Toronto-based rapper, Fateh. Singh seems to have consistently managed to appeal to some of Hollywood’s biggest names, after securing a follow on Instagram from Drake earlier this month and even having some private direct messages with Rihanna last week. However, it’s not only Singh who has managed to get some strong and public celebrity support over the past couple of days. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau secured a solid endorsement from former U.S. President Barack Obama, and also seemed to get the unofficial support of Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds.
