On Monday, December 21, president-elect Joe Bide got his COVID-19 vaccine on live television for the world to see.

While the person administering his vaccine got prepared, Biden looked to her and said "you've been awfully busy haven't ya?" She confirmed that she and other healthcare staff has been very busy. He called them "incredible."

Soon the healthcare professional asked Biden if he was ready. "I'm ready," he responded confidently.

The next president rolled up his sleeve and received his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Next, he looked to the cameras. "Look, what I want to say is that we owe these folks an awful lot. The scientists, the people who put this together, the frontline workers, the people who were the ones who actually did the clinical work. It's just amazing."

He then looked to the woman who just gave him his vaccine. "We owe you big," said Biden.

He then explained why he received his shot on live TV, saying that it's so people will be prepared to take the vaccine when it's available and show that there's nothing to worry about.

Joe Biden joked that his wife, Jill, loves shots and had just had hers. Judging by the sarcasm in his voice and her laughter, she's not a huge fan of needles.
