Another Canada brand hit by COVID-19!
Get ready to say au revoir? The Montreal company behind Dynamite and Garage filed for creditor protection amid the ongoing pandemic.
Groupe Dynamite, which owns the two brands, said in a press release that 2020 was off to a good start but COVID-19 measures have been a major hit to them.
North American locations, mostly in Canada
The statement went on to explain that they'll be restructuring and hinted at potential closings, saying that there will be "minimal impact to their 3800 store employees who will be offered transfer or relocation options should their store close."
Groupe Dynamite started up in Canada in 1975 and has since grown to have 300 stores in North America, with the majority being in Canada.
The company said they'll provide more updates as the situation unfolds.
