Don't do this, guys. An Ontario drunk driver was arrested and picked up by his buddy, nothing to see here. Except, well, the driver who picked him up was tested at the scene and himself charged with impaired driving as well. Whoever thought this was a good idea thought wrong.

The Leeds OPP detachment had no trouble making these two arrests, which happened on the evening of September 21 and the morning of the following day, as one of the drivers practically brought himself straight to the officers.

According to Inside Ottawa Valley, OPP officers from the Rideau Lakes district arrested a 24-year-old man just after 9:20 p.m. on September 21. They stopped his vehicle on King Street and Foundry Street in Delta, Ontario. OPP officers arrested Michael Truelove and charged him with impaired driving after finding he had more than 80 mg of alcohol in his system.

Truelove spent the night in custody and was being picked up the next day from the detachment. But the 25-year-old Rideau Lakes driver who arrived to pick him up on the morning of the following day was also suspected of being under the influence, reports the Ottawa Citizen.

To make sure, a roadside-approved screening device was used to test the second driver's breath, and he was charged along with his buddy.

The second driver was also charged with driving under suspension, just to top it all off. His vehicle ended up being impounded for seven days.

Arriving to pick up your drunk-driver bro while under the influence yourself — in the morning, no less — is some look.

It seems like some Ontario drivers never take a hint.

Just a few weeks ago, two brothers were arrested for speeding on the same day!

The name of the second driver in this impaired driving incident has not been released.
