Some companies are giving their workers a financial boost just in time for the holidays.

Ontario employee bonuses are being offered by several major businesses, and some are worth hundreds of dollars.

Sobeys, Walmart and Dollarama recently announced that employees will be receiving bonuses as recognition for their service during the pandemic.

In an email to Narcity, Walmart said that all full-time Canadian employees will receive a bonus of $250, while part-time workers will receive $150.

Dollarama announced in a press release that it will be offering one-time bonuses worth up to $300 to store employees across Canada.

Sobeys informed Narcity in an email that it has introduced a temporary lockdown bonus in affected regions of Ontario and Manitoba worth up to an extra $10 to $100 per week.

The lockdown bonus will also be offered at other stores under Sobeys banner including Safeway, Freshco, and Foodland.

Several businesses such as Loblaws, Sobeys, and Walmart implemented bonuses earlier in the pandemic as well.
