Environment Canada

Environment Canada is advising anyone who sees any early warning signs of a tornado, such as a forming funnel cloud or flying debris, to seek shelter immediately.

Residents are instructed to go to a room on the lowest floor of their home away from doors and windows and stay there until the storm passes.

Other nearby municipalities are under tornado watches and should be prepared for any inclement weather.

That includes the Grey-Bruce, London-Middlesex, and Peterborough-Kawartha Lakes areas.

Numerous southern Ontario regions are being warned about the potential for severe storms throughout the late afternoon and evening as well.
