A 21-year-old man and a young person have been arrested in connection to three separate Ontario Walmart fires

Waterloo Regional Police confirmed to Narcity on Monday that the suspects had been apprehended and charged in relation to the arsons, which occurred in Kitchener and Waterloo.

However, the three stores where the fires were set aren't the only locations the pair targeted.

While damaged estimates have not been confirmed initial estimates are in excess of 12 million dollars.

The two are also accused of setting off fire alarms in retail stores in both Cambridge and Brantford.

The suspects' charges include Arson/Disregard for Human Life and False Alarm Fire.

Police report that all three fires were started in the toilet paper and paper towel sections of the stores.

The crimes all took place on October 20, 2020, within hours of one another.

Officers have yet to release the name of the suspects.
