Maybe October 31 isn't cancelled after all! The Ottawa Senators just announced new plans to host Halloween at the Canadian Tire Centre. The socially-distanced event will be totally free and will take place from 2 p.m. through 7 p.m. In a news release on August 31, the team confirmed that they would be providing the necessary measures to keep the festival safe. “ We are currently in discussions with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that our festival will be the safest possible. Anthony LeBlanc, Senators President of Business Operations Safety measures will include touchless trick-or-treating, mandatory mask-wearing, temperature checks and enforced hand hygiene. There will also be staggered time slots, using pre-registration to maintain physical distancing at the event. This will be the first spooky festival hosted by the Senators for a "safe and not so scary" Halloween. While this event is aimed primarily at younger people, it's a good sign that Halloween in Canada may not be cancelled after all! Via Ottawa Senators
