The Ontario Provincial Police is aware of MPP Randy Hillier's plans to host more parties this week after the politician tweeted about it this past weekend.

But the OPP hasn't been in touch with Hillier regarding his previous illegal gathering, passing the matter to the local health unit instead.

Hillier, the independent MPP for Lanark—Frontenac—Kingston posted a photo of a 15-person gathering over Christmas (which is not allowed under current provincial guidelines).

He said "Bring it on" in response to questions about a fine or jail time for his actions.

It seems as though he hasn't been dissuaded from breaking provincial guidelines, because he posted a tweet on January 2 saying that he would be hosting "more partys" [sic] this week.

The Leeds-Grenville-Lanark District Health Unit (LGLDHU) told Narcity in an email that they have followed up with Hillier regarding his holiday gathering but did not explain exactly what that meant.

Speaking to Narcity over the phone, Leeds County OPP Staff Sergeant Josh Kingsley said police were aware of Hillier's Twitter posts.

"We're monitoring the [Twitter] page just like everybody else," Staff Sergeant Kingsley said.
