A favourite summer past time of many Canadians is to relax with a cold drink and some friends out on a dock. There's honestly nothing better than jumping off a dock into a nice cool lake on a sweltering hot day. But apparently enjoying the dock life wasn't enough for some Ontarians who decided instead to steal a dock. Yes, someone literally decided to steal a dock. @rendezvouswithritaembedded via Ontario Police are now on the hunt for some thieves who stole a dock from the Trenton Port Marina in Quinte West. A floating paddle craft dock, meaning one used specifically for boats like canoes and kayaks, valued over $3000 was stolen from the marina which is owned by the city. The City of Quinte West boasts the marina as being unlike any other of its kind with high-end facilities, access to shopping and entertainment, and a refueling station which is where the dock was stolen from. @trenton_dbiaembedded via All the hardware from the dock was still intact and nothing was broken which lead the marina to believe that it had, in fact, been stolen using tools to detach it rather than just floating away. There isn't enough evidence, however, to indicate whether or not the get-away was made by land or on the water. They do know that it was taken sometime between July 9 and July 19. @michal_zukowskiembedded via While the robbery itself took place a few weeks ago, the OPP are now reaching out to the public for help. They want anyone who may know something about this crazy story to call them at 1-888-310-1122. Source: Ottawa Citizen
