Police are reminding drivers to slow down as anhits parts of the province.
On Wednesday, Environment Canada issued multiple weather advisories as spots in the Ottawa area geared up for 10 centimetres of snow.
It seems that the quick accumulation of the white stuff was just too much for some Ontario drivers.
On Wednesday morning, OPP East Region revealed that nearly 40 collisions had been reported in under 12 hours.
In fact, some roads were even closed throughout the early morning as emergency services responded to accidents.
Despite the influx in collisions, officers stated that no serious injuries have been reported so far.
Now, the OPP is warning drivers that if they see snow, they should go slow and drive to match the conditions outside.
The snow is expected to end by early afternoon and will be replaced by freezing rain in some areas.
