During a July 3 press conference, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked to comment on the situation that occurred at Rideau Hall on July 2.
He briefly shared his thoughts on the event, which involved an armed man ramming the gates at the government residence and heading toward the main building.
Obviously this was something that nobody wants to hear, but I want to thank the extraordinary members of the police services and the RCMP who did their job, and nobody was hurt, nobody was injured. Any further questions, obviously I will refer to the RCMP on that.
