Wu-Tang Clan Just Created An Ottawa-Inspired T-Shirt & The Random Love Just Keeps Coming
All of the proceeds are going to Ottawa charities!
Wu-Tang Clan clearly can’t get enough of Ottawa! After raising thousands of dollars for Ottawa Food Bank last month, the iconic New York hip hop collective is back, with even more random love for the city. Now, they’ve created a wholesome range of Wu-Tang X Ottawa-inspired products, and all of the proceeds will be donated to local charities.
Just when you thought the love between Wu-Tang Clan and Ottawa(and wholesome!) the group has proved that they’re willing to go above and beyond to help the city out.
After they raised a whopping $280,000 for Ottawa Food Bank back in April, the boys are back with a brand new initiative which aims to raise even more cash for Ottawans who need it most.
On Wednesday, on CTV Morning Live, Wu-Tang Clan leader and producer RZA revealed that his clothing and lifestyle brand had created three Ottawa-inspired products, in support of several local charities.
The brand, which was co-founded by Mustafa Shaikh, is called 36 Chambers, and the special products are part of a campaign called "A Better Tomorrow."
The first item is a t-shirt featuring the iconic Wu-Tang logo, with the word "Ottawa" written inside.
If the $40 shirt wasn’t already in your shopping cart, simply because it’s cool and random AF, 100% of the profits will go to the Ottawa Food Bank.
If that wasn’t enough Wu-Tang X Ottawa merch for you, don’t worry, there’s more!
They’re also offering a plant-based, vegan hand sanitizer called "Protect Ya Hands." For every bottle sold, another will be donated to a Canadian homeless shelter. Any additional profits will also be donated.
If you’re hungry, there’s something for that, too. The "Saga Continues Bowl" will raise money to get meals for front-line workers at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. It also looks pretty delicious!
"Whether it's through music, or our actions, the purpose of 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang, is to always see a better tomorrow,” the campaign's website reads.
In a message on Twitter, Wu-Tang Clan simply wrote, “We bringing da ruckus to Canada for a Better Tomorrow. #WuTang.”
You can find all of the products here.
Even Ottawa’s Mayor is getting involved in the fun. On Wednesday, heof himself wearing his new Ottawa X Wu-Tang t-shirt, adding the caption, “Happy to support the launch of #ABetterTomorrow collection!”
The campaign is expected to run for a month.
Wu-Tang (and Ottawa) forever, please!
