Paris' "Spiderman" Hero Receives The Highest Honour After Rescuing Child
Over the weekend, a man in Paris saved a young boy's life by scaling a tall building and grabbing him before the child fell. People are now naming the hero as a real-life version of Spiderman after seeing him climb the building so quickly to rescue the child!
Due to negligence, the endangered 4-year-old boy ended up dangling off of a balcony and there was no one there to help him. A neighbour tried to grab the kid but had no luck. The Parisian hero quickly risked his own life by climbing up multiple balconies and grabbed the child just in time!
We know now that this hero actually has a name. He is 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama. He's an undocumented immigrant, who is now known as a national hero.
Gassama just met with the French President Emmanuel Macron. The President presented him with a certificate and a gold medal for performing an act of courage and dedication.
He also announced that he will be granted citizenship and that he's been offered a job with the Paris fire brigade! According to reports, Massama was in the area to watch a football match when he saw the child in danger.
He said, "I like children, I would have hated to see him getting hurt in front of me. I ran and I looked for solutions to save him and thank god I scaled the front of the building to the balcony."
The four-year-old boy's father was reportedly detained for neglect and the child has been placed in special care.
