As the nationwide manhunt continues for the two teens wanted for northern B.C. murders, on Monday, RCMP continued to update the public on their suspected whereabouts. The two teens have been on the run for several days now, and so far, attempts to find them have been unsuccessful. Police remain hopeful and their main goal is to safely locate them.

RCMP had been searching in the Gillam area of Manitoba for several days for the two suspects. However, on Sunday night, police received a tip that there may have been a sighting of the two wanted teens in another region of Manitoba, York Landing.

In a news release on Monday, RCMP stated that several units are now searching for the teens in York Landing, including the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Containment Team members, and The Royal Canadian Air Force.

RCMP are now also warning residents of York Landing. "It is critical that residents of York Landing remain vigilant & stay indoors as much as possible with their doors locked, & to report anything suspicious by calling their local police immediately," wrote Manitoba RCMP in a tweet on Monday.

RCMP also stated in the news release that "there is a heavy police presence in the area of York Landing and the RCMP's priority is community safety."

As of now, it is not confirmed yet whether the two suspects are in York Landing. "Officers on the ground have not made contact with the individuals, as such, the RCMP is not yet in a position to confirm that these are the wanted suspects," reads the news release.

On Friday, RCMP released surveillance footage of the two wanted males in a Saskatachewan store to the public.

Since the two teens have been on the run, their family and former classmates have publically revealed some disturbing details about the suspects

So far, over 200 tips have been sent to investigators, according to a RCMP news release. Anyone who spots the two suspects is asked to not to approach them, but instead call 911.
