Revelstoke RCMP sure had their hands full at a Tim Hortons on Monday, December 6. \nAccording to a B.C. police release, they received calls from staff members regarding a woman who not only refused to wear a mask, but also refused to leave the restaurant.\nEditor's Choice: Alberta's 'Rapid Growth' COVID-19 Graph Is Skyrocketing Compared To The Other Provinces\n\n\n“\n\n\nBoth the business staff and the police officers who attended the call attempted to reason with the female and explain the current Public Health Order.\n\n\nSgt. Chris Dodds, Revelstoke RCMP\n\n\n\nAccording to CTV News, the woman was from Lethbridge, Alberta and the interaction took place in a Tim Hortons. \n"However in the end, the woman refused to comply with police direction and action was taken both criminally and through the issuance of provincial violation tickets," Dodds continued. \nThe 43-year-old woman was arrested and later released outside the restaurant, says the police release. \nShe got slapped with two $230 tickets, one for not wearing a mask and one for "abusive / belligerent behaviour." \nB.C. RCMP are urging everyone to comply with current public health orders and respect that local businesses are trying to do the same. \nAt present, masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces across the province.
