Rogers Is Increasing All Internet Plans By As Much As $8 Per Month
The changes will affect both new and existing customers.
If you’re with Rogers, your internet plan is about to become even more expensive in the next few months.
According to an internal document obtained by MobileSyrup, Rogers has announced that “all in-market legacy internet packages with download speeds of more than 20 Mbps are increasing by $8 per month.” Similarly, internet packages with speeds less than 20 Mbps will also see an increase of $4 per month.
“We regularly review our plans, and from time to time, we make changes,” Rogers told MobileSyrup. We’re continually investing to deliver great value and fast, reliable internet for our customers now and in the future as demand continues to grow.”
Customers who are protected and will not be affected by the price hike include:
- Those who pay for their internet through condo maintenance fees (unless they opt for a higher tier plan, in which case the price hike applies)
- Those who were given monthly promotional rates (but only during the duration of the promotional period)
Customers who have been given discounts with their internet bundles will still receive them monthly, however, the reduction will be taken from the increased rate.
Rogers will send out messages notifying current and new customers of the changes to their bill this month.
