This beauty retailer is hopping on the protective equipment train. Sephora Canada hand sanitizer is going to be sold online and the new products are pretty affordable. All of the proceeds from sales of the antibacterial gel will go to a good cause.

Sephora Canada has announced a collaboration with NUDESTIX as part of the beauty retailer's social impact program.

Starting on May 19, you can get NUDESKIN, the anti-bacterial sanitizing hand gel, on the Sephora website and app.

All of the proceeds from the new product will be donated to the Red Cross Canadian Emergencies & COVID-19 Response Fund, which supports emergency efforts.

The sanitizer comes in different sizes and price ranges that are pretty affordable.

The 100-millilitre travel hand pump that's refillable retails at $9.

A five-pack of 30-millilitre aluminum pouches with an attached key chain will be sold for $10.

A 500-millilitre family size pump will cost you $13.

"As a responsible retailer during this crisis, we want to support communities across Canada in a meaningful way," said Debbie McDowell, a director of social impact and communications at Sephora Canada, in a news release.

Along with the donated money from the beauty retailer, NUDESTIX will also give 10,000 of the 30-millilitre sanitizers to the Canadian Red Cross.

Those will go to frontline workers in health and at-risk communities.

The hand sanitizer is made with vegan-powered ingredients like glycerin, castor seed oil, green tea extract and vitamin E.

Those help hydrate and protect hands while also killing bacteria and germs.

"To me, it was unacceptable that protective equipment as essential as hand sanitizer was not available to those on the front lines, at-risk communities and the masses," said Jenny Frankel, founder and president of NUDESTIX. 

So Frankel got to work with the brand's team to make a product that was of quality along with being effective and affordable.

Along with being available online, the new sanitizer products will be available at retail locations in Canada starting mid-June depending on if there's the go-ahead to reopen.

Sephora isn't the only retailer to start providing personal protective equipment.

Roots is selling reusable masks in a bunch of designs that match the retailer's iconic clothing.

For every mask that's sold, a medical-grade one will be donated to healthcare workers.
