It looks like Starbucks has decided to jump on the plant-based bandwagon.
The iconic coffee retailer just announced the addition of a Beyond Meat Cheddar and Egg Sandwich to its core menu.
The sandwich is officially launching on March 3, 2020, so you can finally indulge in some plant-based fare while grabbing your coffee.
You can bite into a Beyond Meat patty topped with cheddar cheese and egg on an artisanal bun.
Starbucks has created an exclusive and unique recipe for the patty. It's blended with a variety of herbs and spices including oregano, basil, rosemary and fennel.
Canadians will be the first in the world to get their hands on this new addition, as it is the very first country to launch the meatless breakfast sandwich.
The launch follows a sustainability announcement in January, where Starbucks dedicated itself to “expand plant-based options, migrating toward a more environmentally friendly menu.”
The coffee company recently addedto their menus in January, and now you can pick up a plant-based meal to go along with them.
