It's only been 9 days since the GoFundMe for the Humboldt Broncos was opened, but in those short days the campaign has become the largest the country has ever seen- raising over 12 million dollars to date.

Though, with that kind of money on the table, many Canadians have wondered exactly what will be done with the funds and how they will be split up. Thankfully the Bronco's management has finally come out to the public to let them know what's going on.

While the campaign will remain open until Wednesday at midnight, once it is closed, the money will be used to pay the expenses that any of the victim's families have come across. The fund was initially created by a Humboldt local in hopes of being able to cover parking costs at the most, but now that fund is going to be able to cover much more than many could have initially imagined.

Though it wasn't specified in the press meeting exactly how the funds will be allotted considering there are still many players in the hospital and each differing circumstance come with a different financial need.

Though the campaign will be closed on Wednesday, the president of the Broncos has noted that the Broncos will still be accepting donations but through the Humboldt Strong Community Foundation. Those donations will go towards "Humboldt Broncos players, employees, families and volunteers as well as first responders and emergency services personnel, teams, athletes, related organizations and communities affected by the crash."

The switch from GoFundMe to an official organization was made in order to reduce confusion over authentic efforts to raise money for the team. Now that there is an official foundation it will be easier for the public to know which efforts, initiatives and events for the team are actually approved by the Broncos.

So if you were worried about not being able to make a donation in time before the GoFundMe closes, you won't have to worry. While the Broncos are still setting up their own organization, and it won't be live until Thursday, you can still make a donation today and tomorrow on the GoFundMe page by clicking here
