There's one thing that's certain... Canadian pride is worldwide and this year's Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards can prove it. The Readers' Choice Awards is a yearly event for the mass media company and 2017 marked a 30-year tradition. Over 300,000 travel enthusiasts took part in this year's survey by casting their vote for their favourite cities around the world. The feedback was so impressive that the media company was forced to divide the list in two (Top 20 Largest Cities and Top 20 Smallest Cities). via @haydenkortemoore And there certainly is a lot of love for one particular Canadian city. via @marija_bojanic Residents of VanCity will be happy to know that Vancouver has ranked 8th place for Top 20 Largest Cities in the world thanks to the hundreds of thousands of votes from all over the world and they had some kind words to say about our beloved city on the West coast: Seaport Vancouver has a competitive and creative arts scene, rugged natural beauty, and no shortage of things to do. As one of Canada’s most ethnically diverse cities, it’s also one of the country’s best food cities: After you’ve taken a cable car up Grouse Mountain, return to the city for Indian fare at Vij’s, a French bistro experience at Farmer's Apprentice, or tagine at Moroccan-inspired Medina. Amongst the list of top largest cities were Tokyo, Barcelona, Paris, Sydney, and Madrid to name a few. You can check out the full list here.
