Tim Horton's released a full statement to its team members today detailing changes they were making to incentive programs, paid breaks and policies. Prior to the minimum wage increase, Tim Horton's covered 100% of its employees health and dental expenses. Tim Horton's workers say that it was a "major perk" of the job. Since the wage increase, Tim Horton's has changed their coverage. Workers who have been with the company 6-months to 5 years time will have to pay for 75% of their own coverage. Workers who have been with the company for over 5 years will receive 50% coverage - a drastic change for senior Tim Horton's employees.\n@timhortonsembedded via\nThe CBC reports that given the break policy and retraction of benefits, the average Tim Horton's employee will be earning $51 less than they would have earned prior to the minimum wage raise.
