Tim Hortons Just Brought Back Their Poutine Because Canadians Can't Get Enough Of It
Tim Hortons poutine has made its official return, but only for a short time.
Tim Hortons has received its fair share of criticism for losing its Canadian identity. The coffee chain's reputation started to suffer after it was acquired by Restaurant Brands International. However, Tim Hortons has proven that they're determined to earn Canada's love back by giving the people what they want. And it's safe to say that they earned some points by bringing back Tim Hortons poutine.
Tim Hortons announced the return of their poutine on Canada Day. The chain tells Narcity that they're thrilled to bring this beloved Canadian classic back to their menu.
“Tim Hortons is a brand rooted in Canadiana, and there are few dishes as Canadian as poutine is. We’re always listening to our guests, and they wanted us to bring poutine back, and we’re excited to be able to bring it back for them,” says a Tim Hortons spokesperson.
No changes have been made to the poutine's recipe. It features Tim Hortons' signature Savoury Potato Wedges topped with gravy and real Quebec cheese curds.
According to the spokesperson, the decision to maintain the original recipe was based on the positive reactions it got last year.
Tim Hortons' signature poutine will only be available for a limited time, so anyone looking to sample their take on the classic Canadian dish should take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts.
You can get your hands on Tims poutine for $4.39 CAD, but prices vary by region. It's available right now at participating locations across Canada.
