16-Year-Old Teenager Arrested For Shooting And Killing Man In Toronto Market Yesterday
Shooting at Toronto's West Flea Market on Saturday September 8th.
Yesterday, a 16-year-old teenager allegedly wreaked havoc on Toronto's West Flea Market.
The boy shot and killed 65-year-old man Rocco Scavetta, an employee working at the market. Toronto Police reported to the scene around 3:30 PM after calls that there had been a shooting.

They came to the scene and found the victim without vital signs. It was confirmed that Scavetta died at the scene.
One witness reported to CP24 that the shooting was a result of a robbery. The suspect shot his gun twice into the market. Reports claim that people nearby ran away for safety, so the market was likely busy at the time.

Witnesses claim that the suspect "walked calmly" away from the market. Since then, Police have captured the suspect and taken him into custody. Since he is only 16-years-old, his identity has not been released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
