24 Toronto Dogs That Are Bigger Instagram Influencers Than We'll Ever Be
Dogs are a 'Gram's best friend.
When it comes to being an Instagram influencer, the glitz and glamour of the very 21st-century lifestyle seems to appeal to many people. After all, the gig can include travelling the world, modelling work, or just a highly pampered lifestyle. But what if we told you there's a whole furry world out there to be explored? Well, the life of an Insta-famous dog is one to truly be envious of. For these Toronto dogs on Instagram who are bigger influencers than we can ever hope to be, a fun trip to Trinity Bellwoods Park or down the 6ix streets can often turn into a cute public photoshoot.
Toronto is a dog-loving city, there can be little doubt about that, from pooch-friendly breweries to pups and pucks, the 6ix goes made for our little friends.
It turns out it's also a city with plenty of famous Fidos, too.
For example, Italian Greyhound's aesthetic gifts and sense of fashion have earned her some 77,000 followers on Instagram.
Narcity had the chance to talk to Iggy Joey and her owner, Lyndal Moody, about her lifestyle and inspiration. And that got us wondering about the many other pups in the 6ix that share a similar online spotlight.
So, in that spirit, here's are 24 pups that are already bigger stars than we'll ever be.
Sad but true.
Akira The Husky
This one-year-old pup has over 10,000 followers on IG, and it's not hard to see why. With her frosty blue eyes, Akira captivates her followers with her majestic appearance and huge smile.
Almost reaching that 20,000 followers mark, 10-year-old Chewbarka Demanda is just so cute and small, she can even blend in with her stuffed animals. This Yorkie Chihuahua mix is playfully seen as a "cute but rude" pup by her dog dad.
Murray The Golden
Golden Retrievers are friendly even at the worst of times, but beautiful Murray has an infectious smile and overall sweet attitude that justifies his almost-13,000 followers. His IG is full of exciting adventures in and around the 6ix, and you'll find yourself wanting to keep up to date with what's next on his list.
Margot With The Heart Nose
A Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is about as apt a breed for Instagram pup royalty as it gets. Evidently enough, Margot loves to take naps and isn't shy to share her cute little face all over her feed.
Herman Dog Model
Came through drippin'! Herman sports a colourful hoodie and silver chain in most of his looks. If you aren't familiar with this Maltese Yorkshire Terrier already, he calls Toronto home but travels the world living his jetsetting dream. Look at that swagger. To be fair, with over 150,000 followers, you can understand his confidence.
About as influential as it gets (for a dog), Iggy Joey's cute looks and fashion sense even captured the eyes of Mercedes-Benz. The car company featured her in one of its commercials.
Arthur the Cavapoo
With luscious locks and an adorable sense of wonder, this Cavapoo is a rising star. At just five months old, he's well on his way of living the high life of a dog model.
Hunter The Toller
A Duck Toller wannabe, as stated on his IG, Hunter enjoys the outdoors and is always chasing adventure in nature's playground. His fur almost blends in with the autumn leaves, but if there was ever an argument for redheads doing it better, it's Hunter.
Espresso the Doggo
No, this is not a typical Starbucks drink, although Espresso, a husky mutt mix, is apparently a coffee addict. Judging by his IG feed, he loves a Puppaccino or 10. And, honestly, once you see his Instagram, you'll be as energized as his name suggests.
Potato the Yorkie
Potato the Yorkie is one of the cutest Yorkies in the 6ix. Certainly, the pup's followers think so too, as there are almost 15,000 of them on the platform. A pair of these pyjamas, please!
Double trouble! Battô, spotted on the left, and Mummú are inseparable pups here in Toronto and they are always "picture" ready, wherever they may be. This is BFF goals right here.
The Dognamic Duo
Another floofsome twosome! There's a pretty big age difference between these two, as the larger Xena is five and little Mercy is a whopping 13. There's two things they have in common, though. One, they were adopted from a shelter. Two, they're freaking cute as hell.
Bailey The Golden
Not so much golden as auburn, and eerily similar to Scooby-Doo in some pics due to her teal-green collar, Bailey loves dressing up in homemade costumes and wearing adorable hats.
Hazel, a sleepy little pup, is often pictured catching a snooze anywhere she can. If she's not napping, she's having fun with her partner-in-crime, Horton! Oh, the things we'd do to be snuggled up with a doggo burrito like this.
This black-and-white Pomsky has undeniable similarities to an Oreo, or maybe cookies and cream ice cream. Either way, he's downright precious. A pup of the 6ix, he's also been seen to sport a Raptors jersey or two.
Possibly the pup with the most expressionable face on this list, this mysterious pup has what it takes to be a dog model. His almost 40,000 followers on IG probably think so too.
Aki and Nori
These Shiba Inus are literally twins and if it wasn't for their collar, we probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Born in Edmonton, Alb., these pups are now calling Toronto home. Aren't we lucky to have them?!
Lili the Frenchie
This cute Frenchie loves to venture out into the outdoors and take a dip in the lake. She's a snazzy dressy but in winter, it seems she enjoys a pair of comfy PJs and a snuggle. What a babe.
Rud The Dood
This Goldendoodle loves rocking sports memorabilia, most notably Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors merch. Honestly, we can't think of a better mascot.
Teddi the Malshi pup clearly enjoys taking car rides during the warmer season and it is just too cute to ignore. She's also been seen to ride in a boat or two, soaking in the Toronto sun.
