Over the course of the past two days, eight more Shoppers Drug Mart employees in Ontario were added to the growing list of staff who have contracted COVID-19.*

The eight new infections were announced on November 5 and 6, but Loblaw Companies Ltd. provides details about cases dating back several weeks.*

According to the company's data, around two dozen Shoppers workers have tested positive since October 24 in Ontario.

Ontario Shoppers employees with COVID-19 since October 24

Most of the confirmed infections on November 5 and 6 were within the borders of the GTA.*

The drug mart chain has seen a rise in cases among employees this week.

On Tuesday, Shoppers reported that over a dozen of its employees had contracted COVID-19 since last week.

Yesterday, Ontario reported 998 new cases.
