A Heat Warning Is In Effect For Toronto On This First Day Of Summer

June 20, 2016 marks the first day of summer. Technically, it will officially arrive at 6:34 pm today, but with temperatures projected to reach the 34 degrees Celsius, it seems that summer has already started.

The high temperatures and humidity (it will feel like 40 degrees) will bring about some potentially severe storms later this afternoon, with a 40- to 60% chance of showers.
It is advised that you stay hydrated and wear light clothing while this heat warning is in effect. Cooling centres throughout the city are also open to the public.
