The annual Perseid meteor shower is coming up this Thursday and Friday, and we don't want you to miss it! To bring some of you up to speed, a meteor shower is essentially when the Earth passes through a debris stream and the small pieces of debris burn up in our atmosphere! This year the earth is going to pass closer to the centre of the stream which means we will get to see more debris. So basically it will look way better than usual! In order to get the best view of this natural phenomenon, you'll need to head into the dark. The darker the spot the better. If you're looking to stay local we suggest heading to a park, or somewhere a little more secluded from Toronto's light pollution. If you're willing to take an adventure, we suggest traveling to more rural parts of the GTA. Essentially anywhere dark with a great view. Just remember to bring a blanket or something comfortable to lie on, because you'll be staring at the sky the entire time.
