An extremely rare triple super moon will be visible over Toronto this weekend, and you need to see it. For those of you who have no clue what a super moon is, (no judgement) I'll do my best to provide you with a quick explanation. A super moon is when a full moon is at the closest point to earth during it's orbit, making it appear enormous. During this time the moon appears 30% brighter and 14% bigger! The following two super moons (which explains the "triple super moon" term) will be visible later this fall season, most likely mid-November. Optimal viewing time will be around sunset on Sunday October 16th, when the moon is closest to the horizon. So be sure to have your camera ready! Also, be sure to take a peek at this amazing phenomenon early in the evening. As the moon moves higher in the sky, it will return to it's normal white colour rather than a beautiful orange.
