With TIFF and all that it brings, this time of year is the perfect time to spot celebs in Toronto and the GTA — and it looks like Ben Affleck is in town! To be clear, a man who LOOKS like Ben Affleck is in the area. In fact, he's wanted for theft in Milton. Halton Region Police are looking for a Ben Affleck lookalike who stole alcohol from the LCBO last month, and his resemblance to the Hollywood actor is uncanny.\nAccording to the Toronto Star, investigators report that the suspect in question (who, we repeat, is NOT Ben Affleck) was at the LCBO at 1025 Bronte Street South. He allegedly stole alcohol that came to a total of $53.90 on Aug. 8.\nGiven Affleck's close relationship with fellow actor/writer Matt Damon, we can't help but wonder if Damon's lookalike was hanging around nearby. Or even the man himself, as Damon is in Toronto for TIFF right now.\nPolice describe Not Ben Affleck as white, in his mid- to late 20s, about 6 foot 1, 200 pounds, with reddish-brown hair and sporting a moustache and beard.\nIn the video footage, he was apparently wearing black shorts and a black sweatshirt with a white and blue Quiksilver logo on the front, and running shoes with red laces. He also wore a backwards grey baseball cap.\nWhat is it with celeb doppelgangers and stealing booze?\nJust last year, the a man who looked strikingly like Friends actor David Schwimmer stole beer and other items in England. The actor jokingly took to Twitter to confirm that no, it wasn't him.\nOfficers, I swear it wasn't me.As you can see, I was in New York.To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.#itwasntme pic.twitter.com/EDFF9dZoYR— schwim (@DavidSchwimmer) October 24, 2018\nIt's a recurring problem, guys.\nAlthough this latest suspect is obviously Not Ben Affleck, we wonder if this crazy resemblance will catch his eye.\nThere are stories everywhere.
