Toronto's newest luxury hotel is open for business. The St. Regis luxury hotel opened its doors for the first time today at 325 Bay Street in the heart of downtown Toronto.\nThe city's mayor, John Tory, made a special appearance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new hotel, which is the first of its kind in Canada. While the hotel is owned by Marriott, with this new Toronto location, they have launched the first-ever St. Regis luxury destination in Canada.\nREAD ALSO: Toronto's Massive New Market Made Entirely Out Of Shipping Containers Is Already Standing (PHOTOS)\n@stregistorontoembedded via\nTo call it a luxury hotel is not an overstatement by any means. The hotel features a number of gorgeous luxury suites with an in-room bar and kitchenette, a state of the art fitness centre, indoor pool and hot tub, and a full-service spa.\nThe grand opening also brings with it a brand new restaurant called Louix Louis, which towers above the city on the hotel's 31st floor. The hotel also has a fancy breakfast restaurant and 24-hour room service.\nThe Louix Louis is designed to look like the inside of a bottle of whiskey, with dark accents and a mesmerizing ceiling pattern. If you want to be one of the very first people to stay at the luxury hotel tonight, room rates start at $1146 per night (including taxes). That rate is for a superior suite, featuring a king bed, a sofa bed, 1 and a half bathrooms, and a wet bar.\nOf course, if you are booking further in advance with more room options available, it will be a bit cheaper but still expensive. For example, a king room for December 2nd is $786 per night. Unlike the suite, this only is one room and has only one bathroom, but it still looks incredible.\nThe new hotel, located in the former Toronto Trump Tower, joins the 61 other St Regis hotels around the world. With the launch of the newest St. Regis, there are now 10 locations in North America. There are four locations in Europe as well and 21 in Asia, which makes it the most popular continent for St. Regis Hotels in the world.\nIf you're eager to live the luxurious life for a weekend or just a night, you can now book your stay at the new St. Regis Toronto on their website.
