Toronto Woman In Life-Threatening Condition After Being Pulled From Cherry Beach
The woman is being rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Toronto police took to Twitter Friday morning to warn of “unknown trouble” at Cherry Beach Park. A woman is being rushed to the hospital in critical condition after she was pulled out of the water at the beach. According to CP24, paramedics confirmed that the woman was rescued just after 9:00 AM. Lifeguards performed CPR on the victim at the scene.
Cherry Beach is a popular Toronto waterfront destination and is often crowded in the summer months. The beach is Blue Flag certified. Blue Flag is an acclaimed international eco-label awarded to more than 3,400 beaches and marinas in 41 countries. The City of Toronto has been awarded Blue Flags at eight of its 11 swimming beaches.
