Students in Toronto returned back to school this week. On Thursday, the first positive case of COVID-19 at TDSB in a student has been confirmed.

However, officials are saying that the risk to others remains low at this time, as the student only appeared in school briefly on Monday.
The Principal of the school, Donna Drummon, wrote that "we have no reason to believe there is any cause for concern for students and their families as this student was very briefly at the school on Monday, was not at school today and will not return until cleared by TPH," Newstalk 1010 reports.
The website also states that there are seven positive cases among staff at different schools.
The staff cases are at Don Mills MS, Bloordale MS, Charles G Fraser GPS, Earl Haig SS, Brookhaven PS, York Mills CI, and School of Experiential Education.
All schools still remain open.
