Cases in Toronto on Tuesday

York and Peel Regions are reporting 43 and 79 new cases, respectively.

The province conducted nearly 38,400 tests to report these numbers.

Yesterday, the province set a new record with 700 infections reported in a single day.

Premier Ford called the numbers "deeply concerning."

This sharp rise in cases prompted the Ontario Hospital Association to plead with the government to send the GTA and Ottawa back into Stage 2.
