Cinderella is swapping her traditional glass slipper with a street sneaker in the new Disney+ remake. The movie, entitled Sneakerella, will put a modern twist on the traditional fairytale and is filming in Toronto right now. Toronto will reprise its famous role as New York City for this feature film. The film will star Chosen Jacobs, Lexi Underwood, four-time NBA Champion John Salley, and more. She says the movie will feature "incredible music and the gravity-defying choreography." Earlier this month, a colourful Disney+ movie set went up in Toronto's High Park for filming — whether it was for Sneakerella or not is yet to be confirmed. The remake is set to hit theatres sometime in 2021.
