This weekend could be the last that certain Ontario regions can remain in Stage 3, as Premier Doug Ford is set to announce further restrictions come Monday.

Halton and Durham are both contenders as regions that could go back to a modified Stage 2.

Ford told listeners today that he's particularly concerned about the situation in Halton.

A number of Ontario regions have already been moved back into a modified Stage 2, including Toronto, Ottawa, Peel, and most recently York.

This means that indoor dining in restaurants and bars, gyms, indoor fitness classes, theatres, and more have all been mandated to close.

Toronto, Ottawa, and Peel's modified Stage 2 is set to expire come November 9 — at this time, Premier Ford hasn't said what to expect after that date.

The announcements on additional closures will be provided through Doug Ford's Monday media briefing.
