Now that multiple news outlets have called Joe Biden as the winner, Doug Ford's U.S. election reaction is here and he's ready to continue to build Ontario's relationship with the States.

On Twitter, the premier offered his congratulations to U.S. President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

"Our economies and the livelihoods of many living on both sides of the border depend on one another," he said.

Ford noted that he is looking forward to continuing building the relationship between Ontario and the U.S.

"We all do better when we work together," he said.

During a trip to the U.S. in September 2019, it was reported that Ford called himself a "big Republican" and said, "God bless the President."

In October of this year, he was compared to Donald Trump to which he gagged and called it a slap.

Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh also congratulated Biden and Harris for being called the president-elect and vice president-elect.
