Dragons Den's Kevin O'Leary Is Throwing A Massive Party At Toronto's Casa Loma To Pay Off $500K Debt
Mix and mingle with the stars of Shark Tank.
If you don't know Kevin O'Leary and the show Dragon's Den... are you even Canadian? The Canadian entrepreneur, investor, tv personality, and author is worth around an estimated $400 million dollar and is widely known for being the Simon Cowell on business investment reality shows like Dragons' Den and Shark Tank. He's shrew, blunt, and definitely sarcastic - all of which make for great TV.
Now he can add one more title to his impressive resume - party host. O'Leary plans to take over Toronto's Casa Loma for one night only and is inviting fellow Shark Tank hosts- NBA owner Mark Cuban and real estate expert Barbara Corcoran.
Now the reason for the massive blowout is a little puzzling. O'Leary, who ran for Conservative leadership in 2017, owes $529,184 in campaign debt. To someone worth 400 million that shouldn't be hard to cover but because of some pretty strict Elections Canada rules, he can only use $25,000 of his own funds for his campaign. Meaning that the rest needs to be fundraised.
Hence the Casa Loma event!
The event itself won't be your typical dj, dance floor, bar ordeal. O’Leary’s is planning more of a Q&A event where invited hosts from an array of backgrounds will talk to the audience and answer questions. So, you'll definitely want to do some homework if you plan on attending.
Finally, for every dollar raised at the event, O'Leary says he'll donate another dollar to a charity that supports Canadian entrepreneurs.
