Drake Is Opening A New Sports Bar In Downtown Toronto This Month
Drake's new bar Pick 6ix Sports is set to open at the end of March.

Toronto’s unofficial ambassador Drake announced on Instagram that he would be opening a new sports bar called Pick 6ix Sports in downtown Toronto this month. The new bar will feature a menu that includes all of the usual sports bar favourites: burgers, nachos, fish and chips, wings and beef brisket. Each of the items will have a style unique to the location while staying true to its pub-food roots. According to the sports bar's Instagram story, it looks like DJ Khaled may make an appearance at the grand opening.
Drake originally opened a sushi restaurant at the location, 33 Yonge Street, but a thunderstorm last summer caused the restaurant to shut down. “Due to the intensity of the storm, significant amounts of water accumulated above the venue and caused portions of our roof to collapse,” was the statement given by a spokesperson of the restaurant at the time.
It’s unclear why those involved in the project decided to ditch the Japanese-style in favour of a more traditional Canadian sports hangout, but the new bar will definitely be a fresh start. The spot has been completely overhauled to accommodate sports fans, ditching the old restaurant's luxurious atmosphere for large seating booths, giant flat screen television, and pool tables.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a downtown bar without a few privileges for those willing to pay a little more. A VIP dining room will be able to be booked for private parties. An outdoor patio will also be available to patrons as soon as the weather gets warmer.
