Farm Boy Is Opening Another Location In Toronto This Month
Farm Boy is opening another Toronto location this month and it's essentially the Canadian version of Trader Joes.
Toronto, get ready for a whole new grocery shopping experience. Canada's version of Trader Joe's is opening another Toronto location by the end of this month. Farm Boy, an Ottawa based chain originally, is continuing their expansion in Toronto with a new store at Lakeshore and Leslie in the city's east end.
This will the Farm Boy's second location in the city. Their first opened in Etobicoke last year. The expansion comes after Sobeys acquired the company back in September. In doing so they vowed to expand the stores, doubling the number of locations in Ontario and especially southern Ontario.
The already popular brand has, the iconic American grocery chain known for their amazing selection and affordable prices. Farm Boy is very much the same way. They offer a huge variety of farm-fresh produce, butcher meats, fresh baked goods, and artisan cheeses.
On top of all that the stores also feature ready-to-eat sections with both hot and cold selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Farm Boy also carries several specialty items and has an impressive gluten-free and organic selection. All that is, of course, joined with the other regular packaged items you'd find at other grocery stores and all for super affordable prices.
You don't have to wait for long to enjoy everything that Farm Boy has to offer. The new Lakeshore East store will be opening on January 31st.
To celebrate the new location in Toronto, they will be hosting a grand opening party on February 2nd with lots of free samples for you to try and special programming for the kids.
If you can't wait to see what the newest farm boy could look like, you don't have to. On their website, Farm Boy offers a virtual tour of what their typical locations look like to give eager Torontonians a sneak peek of what is coming for them at the end of this month.
The virtual tour shows Farm Boy's wooden aesthetic and cute chalkboard inspired signs that actually make you feel like you're at a Farmers Market instead of a huge grocery store.
The newest location will have some competition at the corner of Leslie and Lakeshore. Toronto's second Farm Boy is going to be located right across from a Loblaws and a Fresh Co., who is also owned by Sobeys.
